Founded in 2008 by Vancouver Canucks Co-owners Paolo and Clara Aquilini, Canucks Autism Network (CAN) provides year-round sports and rec programs for individuals and families living with autism, while raising awareness and providing training in communities across British Columbia.
The CAN team consists of a diverse group of trained staff, experienced support workers and dedicated volunteers who administer our programs in safe and supportive environments.
Now in its 10th year, CAN has developed into a provincial leader in the autism community, reaching over 3,900 individuals and families with autism, while providing autism training to over 4,000 individuals on an annual basis. In total, CAN impacts over 75 communities across BC, ensuring that as many individuals and families with autism are understood, accepted and supported in all public spaces.
Funds raised from the 2019 CAN Pro-Am Tournament will support CAN’s sports and recreation programs across BC, allowing children, youth and young adults with autism to learn new skills, make new friends and realize limitless possibilities.
